I don't want to violate copyright, so I'll use the over $300 FR material I have bought as inspiration.
I have no idea how much of it I can present here under Fair Use, so I won't put details of FR on this site.

I am working on level one of Undermountain. Four maps of 1000x800 feet each for a total size of 4000x3200 feet. I'm undecided if I'll rename everything and use the FR Atlas for inspiration, or use some of the same names for dungeons and some cities, and rename the rest.

I purchased Forgotten Realms Atlas. After looking over the maps, I'll have to extensively redo them so they fit into my campaign. They were made using Campaign Cartographer 2, I use CC3.
The cities and forts/keeps don't fit my style. Those will be redone to fit my campaign.
I'll do the same way I plan doing it the same way I am working on 'The City State of the Invincible Overlord' from Judges Guild ( Kingdom of Ladtodquill). I'll use it for ideas, but the city layout will be my own.
I do this so as to not violate copyright.

Surface map column H is complete.
I have purchased several Forgotten Realms modules, etc. and I'll be using that as a guide for my northern hemisphere.

Or maybe I'll just add a Cosmographer 3 world template. Hmmm. Decisions, decisions.

Surface map column F is complete.
Since the Northern Hemisphere and the Souther Hemisphere for Crestar are different lengths, I'll be adding more columns to the southern hemisphere.
Maybe as many as 64 more columns, 180 miles wide per column.

Note that many of my new maps contain bitmap fills. Go to this page to get the bitmap fills.
Here is the basic format of the nation links.
nation:
1) basic info/nation entrance
2) geography
3) government
4) leader[s]
5) maps
6) population
I kept the same basic format, even the ones moved to the blog.
Work in progress is the surface maps, adding them to my blog so that surface locations are searchable.
text only locator for the surface maps
The meeting of surface map columns A- and A is the Zero Degree Longitude line.
The surface maps sequence is: Z- through A- then A through Z, with map columns 1 through 18 in between Z- and Z with column 1 starting after Z and 18 the column before column Z-.
The blog search is restored, going to the above linked surface locations page will give you a list of what surface features are now more easily findable. If you see a (D) next to the link, there are details available.
As I look over the map files and web pages for errors, I'll correct them as soon as I can. I've done this several times over the past few weeks so far.
After many of the new surface maps were done I came up with this idea. I've decided to create a 'database' of people and places on Crestar. It will be a set of entries in the blog with: type of location, name, and surface map location. This will be things like islands, atoll, ocean deeps, mountains, dungeons, towns, etc. It will take longer, but I'll also be going the same for NPCs I created for my campaign. Info like: name, alignment, character class, level. I may modify this as I progress. Basically, you will be able to do a search on the blog for atoll, then you will be shown a page with a list of atolls in this campaign, and where they are located. Each will be linked, clicking on them will take you to a map. Of course, this will take lots of time... certainly don't look for it to be completed any time soon. If I get done before October I'll be amazed as I intend to add surface features and people as I go. This long term project should help you find things around here easier.
The locations links which is a list of types of locations like; atoll, deep, mountains, lake, river, etc.
