This is large
Some dormant and some active volcanoes. A few live trees, and a few dead trees. Pyroclastic flows. Few animals and insects. The air can be difficult to breathe even in the best of times. Yes, those craters are collapsed volcano cones.
The 'objects' that look like eyes out there in the Inner Ocean are called 'Eyes of the Ocean' by some, why they do so is unknown. Ships have disappeared here, while nearby ships have noticed no abruptly large waves, nor any other possible explanations... Ocean creatures here leave debris.
The Mountains of Fire are home to Fire giants.
